How to add another PDF to an existing document workspace
Append a late PDF to an open AlphaPDF workspace and export the combined document without starting over.
GuidesIf you have already started assembling a document and another PDF arrives, use Add PDF in the existing AlphaPDF workspace. Review the newly added pages before exporting the combined file.
Check the late attachment first
Make sure the attachment is the intended version and that the recipient wants it included in the same file. A replacement attachment should not automatically be added alongside an obsolete copy. Decide whether you are appending new material or replacing earlier pages.
Plan the insertion point
A late appendix may belong at the end, while a cover sheet belongs at the beginning. Note the intended position before moving pages. For a multipage attachment, keep its internal sequence together.
Steps in AlphaPDF
- Return to your open editor workspace and choose Add PDF.
- Select the additional PDF and inspect the updated page rail after it loads.
- Move the new pages with their grips if they belong somewhere other than the initial insertion position. Review the document boundary on both sides.
- Choose Export and One PDF, then save the combined result when an export allowance is available.
Check the result
Compare the output page count with the expected total, allowing for any intentional removals. Confirm that the late attachment is present once and that its version, orientation and readability are correct.
AlphaPDF’s free editor accepts PDF input, not an arbitrary collection of document formats. Check the current file and workspace limits on the merge page before adding a large attachment.
Open AlphaPDF’s merge PDF tool to review the current controls, file limits and export allowance before starting.
