How AlphaPDF’s free export allowance works
Understand the shared free allowance, what a successful export counts as and why opening the editor is a separate step.
GuidesAlphaPDF’s five free tools share an export allowance. Being able to upload and edit a PDF does not by itself mean another free download-producing export is available.
The current published allowance
The free-tool pages currently state one successful export per anonymous device, or five successful exports per UTC month for a verified free account, with one free-quota account per device. These are shared across merge, compress, split, edit and sign; they are not separate allowances for each page.
What counts and what does not
The published rules say a combined export counts once, while failures and repeat downloads do not use another allowance. Opening a workspace, inspecting it and choosing settings are different from completing a successful export. Check any message at the export step before assuming a result was created.
Steps in AlphaPDF
- Read the allowance and file limits on the relevant tool page before preparing the work.
- Combine the needed edits into the intended export where practical, then inspect the preview.
- If export is blocked, read the displayed account or allowance message and follow the available supported options.
- If you already have a completed result, use its available download rather than creating another export unnecessarily.
Check the result
Confirm that the file actually downloaded and contains your intended changes. If a message describes a failure, do not count it as a completed document or assume the download exists.
This guide reports the current published rules, not an account-specific entitlement audit. It does not promise unlimited free use, extra allowances from another tool page or an available purchase flow. Recheck the live page for changes.
