One PDF, selected pages or ZIP: which export mode should you use?

AlphaPDF’s export mode controls which pages become which files. Choose the mode before concentrating on quality settings: a sharp, readable export is still wrong if it contains the wrong pages or arrives in an unexpected format.

One PDF

Use One PDF for the full document in its current page order. The live editor explicitly says this mode exports every page. Selecting a few page controls does not turn One PDF into an extraction mode.

Extract selected pages

Use this option when the deliverable should contain only the explicitly selected pages. Check the selected-page count. This is useful for a requested excerpt rather than a complete report.

Split into a ZIP

Use this mode when you need multiple PDF sections divided by split markers. The deliverable is an archive containing the parts. If the recipient wants separate PDF attachments, open the archive and use the checked individual files.

Steps in AlphaPDF

1. Identify whether the recipient wants the full document, a selection or separate sections.
2. Prepare the page selection or split markers in the editor if your chosen mode needs them.
3. Open Export, select the matching mode and read its description and counts.
4. Review quality, export with an available allowance and save the result.

Check the result

Check both the file type and its contents. For a PDF, inspect the page count and sequence. For a ZIP, open each section and compare its boundaries with your plan.

Export mode and compression are separate choices. A smaller quality preset cannot correct an unintended page selection or change a ZIP into a single PDF.
