AlphaPDF Privacy Policy

AlphaPDF is a PDF utility that stores private documents and uses a pseudonymous device identity to enforce its free export allowance. Optional analytics and advertising are controlled separately.

What we collect

• Account details: username, verified email, password hash, and adult attestation time.
• Essential device and usage records: a signed device token, keyed digests of browser and coarse network characteristics, device-account bindings, export counters, and security events.
• Optional analytics: page paths and allowlisted product events. We do not include document names, contents, annotations, passwords, certificates, or preview images.
• Optional advertising: consented Google and Meta identifiers, click IDs, browser/network delivery data, and a SHA-256 hash of the verified email for conversion matching.

Why we use it

Essential records provide one anonymous export, five monthly exports for one verified free account per device, abuse prevention, authentication security, and private document access. Optional data measures the product and supports personalized advertising.

Your choices

You can reject analytics and advertising, use the Privacy Choices page, or send Global Privacy Control. GPC disables advertising and sale/sharing uses for the browser and known account. The essential device allowance remains active because deleting it would reset the free quota.

Retention

Raw product events are retained for up to 90 days; vendor analytics for up to 14 months; device and quota records for approximately 13 months after activity; marketing identifiers for up to 90 days after withdrawal; and consent receipts for up to five years.

Documents and service providers

Documents are kept in private storage and served only after an account or anonymous-session ownership check. Stripe processes payments. Google and Meta receive data only according to the choices described above. Email providers deliver verification messages.

Access and deletion

Use the Privacy Center to inspect current tracking data or delete optional device data. Minimal pseudonymous quota and fraud records may remain until their retention period expires.

Age

AlphaPDF is intended for adults aged 18 or older and does not knowingly provide accounts to minors.
