Before deleting a PDF workspace, save these files
Save and inspect all wanted originals and results before removing a document job from AlphaPDF.
GuidesBefore deleting an AlphaPDF workspace, download and open every file you want to retain. A download button or the start of a transfer is not enough: check the saved copy on your device before confirming deletion.
Make a small keep-list
You may need the source PDF, the latest edited result and any individual parts from a split export. Name those files before deleting so you do not preserve only the easiest one to find. A ZIP containing multiple sections deserves a check of every wanted section.
Understand the free-editor boundary
The file-handling page says the free editor does not offer the Premium retention selector. It directs users to Documents to delete free-editor jobs after saving their copies. Do not assume a Premium 1/7/30-day choice applies to this workspace.
Steps in AlphaPDF
- Locate the intended workspace or result in Recent documents.
- Download the files on your keep-list using the available controls.
- Open the local copies and verify their content, page counts and filenames. Resolve any failed transfer first.
- Only then use the job’s available deletion action and review its confirmation carefully.
Check the result
Check that the copies you intend to keep are accessible outside the AlphaPDF workspace. For a handoff, make sure you selected those checked files rather than similarly named older versions.
Deletion should not be treated as reversible. AlphaPDF’s file-handling guidance does not guarantee backup erasure or an exact physical removal time, and this checklist makes no such claim. Read the current file-handling explanation for those boundaries.
Open AlphaPDF’s PDF editor to review the current controls, file limits and export allowance before starting.
