What it does
PDF tables to CSV finds the tables in a PDF and writes each one to its own CSV file. The files are packed in a ZIP so you download them in one go.
When to use it
Use it when the data is heading for a database, a Python or R script, or any system that imports CSV more happily than Excel files.
How to use PDF tables to CSV
- Sign in with an account that has Premium access.
- Upload .pdf files. Each file can be up to 50 MB, with up to 25 files per batch.
- The output is set to CSV. Review the available settings and choose a 1, 7 or 30-day retention period.
- Start the job, then download and check the result before its retention period ends.

CSV does not preserve cell styling or formulas. Review table boundaries and numeric values; a no-tables CSV is returned when no table is detected.
CSV holds plain values only, so colours, merged cells and formulas are lost. Check how your system reads commas and decimal points.
Processing limits
Up to 50 MB per input; 25 files and 500 MB per batch. PDF limit: 2000 pages. Up to 2 active jobs per account. Output limit: 1000 MB. Renderer limits can reject especially large pages or images.

Common questions
Why is the download a ZIP?
A PDF often holds several tables and each one gets its own CSV. The ZIP keeps them together.
Will Excel open the CSV files?
Yes. If accented letters look wrong, use Excel's import option and pick UTF-8 as the file origin.
What if no table is found?
The result tells you no tables were detected instead of returning an empty ZIP.
Can I get a single workbook instead?
Yes. Use PDF to Excel for one XLSX with a sheet per table.
